PHP

PHP is an interpreted programming languaje, it was designed originally for the creation of dynamic web pages. It is used mosly for server-side scripting.

PHP Hypertext Pre-processor was created by Rasmus Lerdof in 1994, but now it is produced by the PHP Group and it is used as a php standard, it is considered as Open source software.

This languaje, is executed in a web sever, taking the code as an input and a web page as an output. It can be deployed in most web servers and it is currently installed in more than 20 million websites and a million web servers. It is the most popular Apache module.
